How I work

Sculpting digital products
When designing digital products, you have to understand how the material works—its physics and its chemistry. You can design in pixels but you have to build in bytes. A designer who studies how it works—and stays close to the material—designs better products, faster.
Composing and decomposing design systems
A design system is primitives bonded into compounds, then taken apart and reshaped when the work demands it. Good systems compose and decompose—they hold together under pressure and stay legible when you pull them apart. The job is to keep finding that balance. And ultimately a design system is a people problem—it lives or dies on the education and relationships you build with the designers and engineers using it every day.
Move fast, learn things
Ship the minimal lovable product, then watch how real people use it in real life. Listen, research, ship again. Prototypes hallucinate—real users don't, and the research that actually corrects you only starts after the thing is in someone's hands.

Closed the design-to-engineering entropy gap by giving both disciplines the same high-fidelity source of truth.

Led design and acted as PM across the consumer IoT product line—Floodlight Cam, Video Doorbell 2 + Elite, Spotlight Cam family, and the Security System—shipping on fast firmware/back-end/iOS/Android sprints.
Redesigned and shipped the live video and home experiences in 2017–2018—the two most-used surfaces in the app.
Created Ring's first design system—the Ring Style Kit—mirrored in SwiftUI and Java with shared tokens, distributed across design and engineering.
Helped scale the design team 3 → 13. Ring grew 1M → 10M US users in this window; acquired by Amazon for $1B+.
